Kilbeggan Scouts was founded in 1988, in Lockes Distillery for 5 years and then moved to its current location in the Scouts Den, opposite the Church in Kilbeggan.
Scouting is divided into 3 age groups in Kilbeggan.
Beavers : This is the youngest age group, catering for children from aged 6 to 8 years old. Activities include hiking, badgework and games.
Cubs : This group caters for aged 8 to 11 and activities include knot work, badge work, camping preparation and trips, cooking, first aid, hiking, orienteering, games and art.
Scouts : This is the oldest group in Kilbeggan presently, and accomodates 11 to 15 year olds. The activities here are badge work, camping trips, knots, first aid, hiking, orienteering, games, teamwork, self motivation and art.
